Dartmoor Brewery

The Next Phase Begins

Posted by Mike C in Mar 2017

A sign of exciting times ahead at Dartmoor Brewery, as the steels for the new extension arrive on site. The highest brewery in the British Isles, Dartmoor Brewery was born in 1994, and soon outgrew its original home, moving to a new purpose-built unit in 2006. Now, with our range of superb craft ales continuing to grow in popularity, the Princetown brewery complex is being extended to allow production to be stepped up further. The extension will grow the capacity of the brewery to around 20,000 barrels per year, and is set to be fully operational by the end of May. Lovers of our fine ales will be reassured to know that whilst we are growing, we are still first and foremost a craft ale brewer, using the finest hops, local Devon malts and Dartmoor water, brought together to create magic in a glass thanks to the loving attention of our talented team of brewers. Stay tuned for more news as our new extension takes shape!
