The village of Wembury, just east of Plymouth, is well known for its scenic countryside, coastal walks, rock-pooling beach – and proper village pub. And so we introduce the Odd Wheel, our Pub of the Week.
The Odd Wheel, Wembury, was transformed with a complete refurbishment prior to opening under the current management in 2010. The result is a pub which still has all the charm and character of a cozy country inn, but with a contemporary and welcoming décor.

If you know Plymouth, you'll know the historic Barbican waterfront area with its cobbled streets, ancient buildings and bustling maritime scene. But you might have missed a gem of a pub on the Barbican - the Fisherman's Arms, which is tucked away just off the main street.
The Fisherman's Arms is popular with visitors for sure, but also has a loyal local following, thanks to its traditionally warm welcome, good local beers (including Dartmoor Brewery's finest) and country-pub-in-the-heart-of-town feel.
