Pub of the Week - Bistrot Pierre, Plymouth

Posted by Mike Coombes Dartmoor Brewery in Sep 2018

There's a distinctly continental flavour to our latest Pub of the Week, as we take a trip down to Plymouth's Royal William Yard and Bistrot Pierre.

It's not a pub in the traditional sense of course, but as you'll find a fine pint of Jail Ale to accompany your steak-frites or confit de canard, we thought Bistrot Pierre was well worth a mention.

Helping Dartmoor Rescue Group Keep in Touch

Posted by Mike Coombes Dartmoor Brewery in Sep 2018

Dartmoor is a stunning place to escape the day-to-day, particular if outdoor pursuits are your thing, and the Dartmoor Rescue Group does an incredible job in keeping people safe on the moor.  We're delighted to have been able to help them out with a new radio repeater to improve their communications across Dartmoor's rugged terrain.

Return of the Dragon

Posted by Mike Coombes Dartmoor Brewery in Sep 2018

Dragon's Breath is back!  This seasonal beer is always a popular additional to our Autumn and Winter range, and we've got it ready for you earlier than usual this year, by popular demand!

Flavoured with black treacle, Dragon’s Breath (4.4%) is a unique beer ideally suited to the cooler months, and was originally launched in the snows of December 2010. Deep ruby-brown coloured, rich and full-bodied with a delicious aftertaste of morello cherries, it's a real treat for the senses!

We've already despatched the first deliveries, and you'll find it in great pubs across the region including:

  • The Old Plough, Bere Ferrers
  • The Watergate Inn, Barnstaple
  • The Odd Wheel,...
