The sun is still shining for now, and we're rounding off our Great British Beer Gardens series with a quick visit to the Duke of York in the Devon town of Crediton.
Beer gardens aren't just for country pubs. The Duke of York is right in the heart of this busy little town, and there's plenty of room in the sunny beer garden to enjoy a Jail Ale or two in the fresh Devon air.
The Duke of York is a family-run pub, at the heart of the local community, and is well known for the warm welcome you'll receive from Tracey and the team.
The town of Crediton is 7 miles from Exeter, and makes a great day out. You'll find some good independent shops, a thriving Farmers' Market, and the impressive parish church of St Boniface.
If you're planning on having a pint, and want to give your designated driver a rest, the scenic Tarka Line rail service between Exeter and Barnstaple stops in Crediton, and it's just a short walk to the Duke of York.
Find the Duke of York at 74 High Street, Crediton EX17 3JZ, or call 01363 775289.
