DARTMOOR BREWERY AND CAMRA HELP DAWLISH GET BACK ON TRACK.

On 6th September, Exeter and East Devon CAMRA, supported by members from the whole south-west region will be raising a pint to celebrate the re-opening of the Dawlish line. During the closure, local pubs and south-west brewers, suffered significant disruption to their business. A photo shoot will take place at 11.15am at Dawlish railway station in partnership with First Great Western, after which CAMRA members will campaign for the support of real ale and local pubs in Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. Bontrager Twentyfour 12

The last rider of the Ninth Bontrager 24/12 at Newham Park finished just before 1pm on Sunday, making it nearly 25 hours in total for the race, a real test of physical and mental strength. Although the idea is to have fun this is a serious event with several of the top mountain bike riders in the country competing. With the excitement of the Tour de France Grand Depart still ringing in our ears, here at the Brewery we've got swept up with cycling enthusiasm and entered the Bontager TwentyFour12 mountain bike race. �An off road event every bit as challenging as the Tour de France ..... well for us anyway! Hole In One

Any budding or keen golfers out there will appreciate the Dartmoor Brewery 'oasis' we set up at the St Austell Devon Golf Day earlier this week.� We were pleased to sponsor a hole at the golf tournament held at Woodbury Park near Exeter.� We were even more pleased when two of our directors came runners up in the team event winning bottles of champagne!� Thanks go to St Austell Brewery for a terrific event.

Jail Ale on the run

Our famous beer brand, Jail Ale, went on the run over the moors earlier this month. As part of this year's Dartmoor Firkin Challenge, plucky pairs of runners took to the moorland carrying an empty cask of Jail Ale to run 6 miles from the Royal Oak pub in Meavy to the top of Sheepstor � and back again to refresh and celebrate this time with a full cask of Jail Ale!
