We're off to East Devon for our latest Pub of the Week - the Lamb Inn at Silverton. If you're look for cosy country pub in which to enjoy a festive pint of our Santa's Secret, look no further!
Silverton is a pretty village in the heart of rolling Devon countryside, about 8 miles from the city of Exeter. As well as it's ancient history (best symbolised perhaps by its 1000-year old oak tree), for many years the importance of the village was emphasised by its position astride the "old" road between Exeter and Tiverton, making it a particularly busy place until the arrival of the M5 motorway.
The Lamb Inn is a lovely pub at the heart of this picturesque village, and hosts Alan and Jane have been providing a warm welcome since 1999. With its entry in the Good Beer Guide, and accrediation from Cask Marque, you can look forward to an excellent pint from a range of great real ales. If you're popping in for a pint before Christmas, be sure to ask for a pint of Santa's Secret from Dartmoor Brewery!
The Lamb prides itself on top-notch home-cooked food using local produce and suppliers - including Jane’s signature Steak and Ale pie. There's a weekly-changing Specials Menu, and excellent steaks to be had.
If you're out and about in this lovely part of Devon and fancy a pint of something nice in front of a warming inglenook fire, you've found the place!
