100 Casks for 100 Causes

Posted by Mike C in Dec 2021

We love brewing great beer. We also love supporting great local community causes and hard-working charities. So, we’re offering 100 casks of our award-winning Jail Ale to selected charities, events and community causes, to assist with their fund-raising.

There’s no catch. We just need a few details about your event, charity or community cause, so that we can consider you for one of our 100 casks. Our priority is to support your cause, but we’d also love it if you’d give Dartmoor Brewery a shout-out before, during or after your event.

Rail to Ale - the Dartmoor Line

Posted by Mike C in Nov 2021

Newly named the Dartmoor Line, the new rail link offers up to 8 services a day from both Exeter St Davids and Exeter Central stations, and the town of Crediton, to the town of Okehampton on the Northern fringe of Dartmoor.

Okehampton station is very well placed for a Dartmoor day out.  For something fairly leisurely, take a stroll down the hill from the station to explore the historic town itself....

Pub of the Week: The Cornwood Inn

Posted by Mike C in Nov 2021

The local pub is so often the beating heart of the community, and residents of the Devon village of Cornwood have taken things a step further by acquiring and running their own local.

The Cornwood Inn can be found in this charming village on the edge of Dartmoor. In September 2019, with the future of this characterful inn looking decidedly uncertain, the Cornwall Inn Action group was formed by a band of community volunteers, to secure the future of this traditional and much-loved pub via the sale of community shares.

The share offer attracted international interest, with investors from France, the US...
