International medals for Dartmoor beers

Dartmoor Brewery's brilliant traditional beers have again been recognised on an international stage, with the brewery collecting two sought-after medals in the International Beer Challenge 2021.

The light and golden Dartmoor IPA was honoured with a Silver medal, whilst the popular and full-flavoured Legend scored a Bronze.

Jail Ale on Tour - welcome to San Diego

Jail Ale is on tour with the Royal Navy, and has reached the US city of San Diego.

HMS Tamar is one of five state-of-the-art Offshore Patrol Vessels built for the Royal Navy, and is currently on a round-the-world trade mission promoting the Best of British. When she set sail from the UK, we made sure the ship's company had a generous supply of fine Dartmoor ales on-board to remind them of home.

After leaving her last port-of-call, Curacao, Tamar transited the Panama Canal before entering the Pacific and finally reaching the California city of San Diego.

Pub of the Week: The Blue Ball Inn

If you’re an Exeter Chiefs fan, you probably already know the Blue Ball Inn – the closest pub to the Chiefs’ Sandy Park ground on the outskirts of Exeter.

But whether you’re a rugby fan or not, the Blue Ball is certainly worth a visit, and they serve an excellent pint of Jail Ale!

Double award celebration for our hotels

Two stunning Devon hotels under the same ownership as Dartmoor Brewery are celebrating a duo of top awards.

The Two Bridges Hotel in the heart of Dartmoor was crowned "Best Restaurant", while The Bedford Hotel in Tavistock picked up Gold, at a glitzy ceremony organised by Food Drink Devon.

The Food Drink Devon awards, now in their tenth year, champion Devon's most respected, influential and passionate artisan food and drink producers and establishments. The awards are now in their tenth successful year.
