The Dartmoor Classic - the UK's toughest cycle challenge
We are proud to be once again supporting the Dartmoor Classic Cycle Sportive - regarded as probably the UK's toughest two-wheeled challenge.
Competitors choose between the 39 mile Piccolo route, the 68 mile Medio and the longest and hardest route of them all - the 109 mile Grande, which takes in the toughest of climbs. Dartmoor's stunning scenery and rugged terrain provide a fitting backdrop for this truly awesome sporting event. All the routes start and finish in Newton Abbot.
Run by members of the Mid Devon Cycling Club and local volunteers, the Dartmoor Classic donates to charities, local sports clubs, schools, communities, Dartmoor Search and Rescue and the Devon Air Ambulance, supporting Dartmoor National Park and the surrounding area.
At our brewery in Princetown, we will be hosting one of the essential feed stations. It's fair to say that some of the competitors will also enjoy a well-earned pint of Dartmoor's finest ales at one of the many excellent moorland pubs to celebrate their completion of this epic Dartmoor challenge!
